Biography
Amanda L. McCall is an Associate Attorney at Grinke Stewart Law. Amanda had her sights set on becoming a Family Law practitioner well before attending law school. She has always been committed to helping others navigate challenging times, especially families. Pursuing a career in Family Law provides her an opportunity to help families navigate any emotional and financial turbulence they might encounter. Amanda’s talents manifest in her empathy, the ability to actively listen, and a tenacious drive, all of which make her a valuable member of the Grinke Stewart Family Law Team.
Amanda was born and raised in Salem, Oregon. In 2013, Amanda left Oregon to attend Texas Christian University in Fort Worth. She received a B.S. in Strategic Communications and a minor in Business. Amanda’s communication degree helps set her apart as a litigator and she credits that background for her superior ability to communicate and translate complex problems to all her clients.
Amanda received her J.D. from Pepperdine Caruso School of Law where she graduated cum laude. In law school, Amanda received a CALI award (the highest grade in the class) in Community Property, which Texas is a community property state and a critical aspect in the practice of Family Law. She served as the Executive Editor on Pepperdine Law’s Dispute Resolution Law Journal where she wrote an article on amicable ways to divorce using mediation. Amanda participated in Pepperdine Law’s Family Law Mediation Clinic where she successfully mediated multiple client’s divorce and child custody cases. Amanda served as a Judicial Clerk for the 296th District Court in Collin County where she participated in numerous hearings including divorces, CPS cases, modifications, and common law marriage determinations. While in law school, Amanda also worked as a Family Law Clerk for high profile Family Law cases, multijurisdictional Family Law issues, and high net-worth clients. In addition to her J.D., Amanda received a certificate in Dispute Resolution from the nationally ranked Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution giving her valuable negotiation and mediation skills.
Amanda is a member of the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers and volunteers as a Girls on the Run coach where she teaches young woman about self-esteem, confidence and healthy habits. She is an avid sports fan and can be found cheering on the Horned Frogs, golfing, wakeboarding, snow skiing or strength training.
